鴫ý Panel Featured in Sundance Festival Prize Winner Promo
On August 11, 2020, the National Society of High School Scholars had the privilege of hosting an exclusive pre-screening of the Apple TV, A24 documentary “Boys State”. The screening was followed by a featuring two subjects from the film, the filmmakers, and moderated by 鴫ý Fellows Executive Board Member Kolby Keo. This online event was attended by almost 500 members of the 鴫ý community.
“Boys State” follows a week-long annual program in which a thousand Texas high school seniors gather for an elaborate mock exercise: building their own state government. The film holds up a mirror to the American democracy, stressing the importance of participating as citizens, and offering unmistakable hope. View the trailer featuring the 鴫ý panel .
