ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ Member Event at University of California, Berkeley

On Saturday, September 21, ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ welcomed members and their families to Berkeley, California, for the first time for a Member Event at the University of California, Berkeley!

This one-day event included a networking breakfast, a helpful information session with Q&A from current UC Berkeley students, a College & Career Fair, and engaging educational sessions. The event concluded with the ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ Member Recognition Ceremony, where each member was honored and received an ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ medallion for their academic achievements!

Attendees checked in with a digital or printed copy of their tickets, and members received name badges.

Attendees gathered information from College & Career Fair exhibitors. ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ will provided a catered continental breakfast for all event participants to enjoy while they spoke to exhibitors and other members!

ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ welcomed attendees to the Berkeley campus and shared information about admissions, campus life, and more at Cal!

"It’s never too early to grow with the Central Intelligence Agency, where you could be joining our mission and helping protect the Nation. By starting as a student, you’ll get valuable experience and learn from experts in your field, setting yourself up for a successful career. Discover the possibilities that may await you at the CIA!"

"In this brief introduction to our PreCollege Scholars Program, students and families learned about our diverse offerings and why this may be the program for you! Our staff shared insights into the student, academic and personal experiences that offered a glimpse into the college experience for participants. While our program is reserved for rising juniors and seniors all are welcome to learn about PreCollege!"

"UC Scout is a University of California program that provides online high school courses and curricula. With both credit and non-credit options, UC Scout’s asynchronous courses can meet A-G requirements and high school graduation requirements, and are WASC accredited and NCAA approved!"

Attendees had the chance to gather information from College & Career Fair exhibitors, further explore the UC Berkeley campus, and visit nearby eateries for lunch on their own.

Members heard from ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ Scholarships winners about their tips for finding, applying for, and receiving scholarships! With live Q&A!

"Horton Test Prep discussed the many changes with the exams going digital and the ACT making the Science section optional on their upcoming online version. Members learned what an adaptive digital exam is all about and how it can help with earning merit-based scholarships!"

Members learned how the Army ROTC program can help you reach your goals!

ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ Members heard from University of California, Berkeley students about navigating campus life, choosing an appropriate major, and other general information about Cal.

Attendees listened as the ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ Scholarships Administrator and ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ Fellows Vice President discussed some tips for standing out in the college admissions process and finding and applying for scholarships!

Members heard congratulatory remarks and received their own ΒιΒι΄«Γ½ honor medallion.
